So many people start their posts saying sorry for the lack of updates. I may have the record for the longest time between posts. Missing Saddle guys work too hard to get the blogs looking nice, so I gotta try and keep it rolling.
This year has been pretty crazy. Many things have gone down for me. Here are some of them:
-Get engaged to Rayme.
-Race like crap and feel weak all spring.
-Guys on the team rip it up all over the world.
-Think about quitting the sport.
-Get diagnosed with Epstain-Bar Virus (kinda like mono)
-Take 6 weeks totally off the bike.
-Move into a new house.
-Plan a wedding in Tulum, Mexico.
-Realize I can’t and don’t want to quit cycling yet.
-Get healthy and have a new out look on racing and everything that goes with.
-Start training again, start racing again and realize they both hurt, but love every second of it.
Univest weekend and then Tour of Missouri are up next. Back on the horse man.

We rolled out the other day down Rt. 36 and saw this double-wide trailer on it’s roof from the 60mph gusts. It was pretty blustery up in the mountains with Ben getting blown off the road at one point and we all got free winter snow facials.
Accident ahead for sure….

Only in Cali do you walk out of baggage claim and stumble upon a photoshoot for a Europe only 1-series BMW

A little while back the Mini got creamed. It was about 4 degress out the morning after it snowed. I was going over to Martini’s house when a guy in Lincoln comes to an intersection and I see his wheels lock-up but his car keeps going. I try and avoid him and I pretty much just slide and I can’t dive into the other lane like I was hoping to. So, I run into the big brick and concrete median…..
The guy who ran the intersection was an ass. He tried to leave, so I just called the cops and they came and sorted it out. He got a ticket and has to pay to get the Mini fixed…it’s going to be 2k. I got a Malibu rental car….it’s sweet.

Nick just got back from California. He could barely breath at 9000 feet and his hair froze. Welcome home.

This story is pretty funny.
I bet someone got in heaps of trouble and Steve Jobs is just shaking his head in California saying, “damn hippies”.

For ‘07 Team KGSN will be the first Carbon Neutral Professional Sports Team.
It’s pretty interesting stuff, as the Renewable Choice Energy guys are excited about our team and are totally cool company. They are a Boulder based firm and are linked up with Whole Foods Market and Vail Resorts. Big stuff for sure…….
